The new complex adheres to the UNICEF criteria in assistance and treatment for mothers and children. The TFC is a medical clinic for severely undernourished children. The children come with their mothers and sometimes with their brothers and sisters too. With the aim to prevent malnutrition, the TFC set up an "Outreach" program: on a weekly basis, nurses from the TFC visit local communities to seek out children who are undernoiurished and to train mothers in basic health care. |
