On June 1st, Dr. Moses Kargbo, a Senior Specialist, started to work at the Magbenteh Community Hospital as a replacement for one of the expatriate Tropical Doctors from the Netherlands.
Dr Kargbo took his medical degree at Kiev State University. In 1983, he obtained a Diploma in Dermatology at the Institute of Dermatology, University of London, after which he returned home and was engaged in the National Leprosy Control Programme. Since then he has held various positions in clinics and government hospitals and also served as District Medical Officer in Tonkolili and Port Loko Districts.
His last position before joining the team in Magbenteh was Senior Specialist and Medical Superintendent in charge of Magburka Hospital. On the photograph Dr Kargbo is welcomed by the general manager of Magbenteh. |
